Emily Gravett was born in Brighton. After leaving school with few qualifications, she spent eight years living on the road before getting a place on the BA Ilustration course at Brighton University. She won the Macmillan Prize for illustration with WOLVES which was published to great acclaim in August 2005, winning many prizes and marking the beginning of an internationally stellar career creating extraordinary books for children.
Emily's reaction to Story Station was "I'm really impressed with Story Station. It feels like a fresh and exciting way to reach young readers. I love what they have done with my book Wolf Won’t Bite. The animation made me laugh out loud. It is fun, and best of all, the actual book still takes centre stage.".
